In the previous contract, Liga and Caixa implemented the “NBB Caixa Social” Award, which aimed to promote social and environmental actions carried out by the teams competing in the championship, seeking to increase social and environmental engagement using sport as an important tool for human development and environmental awareness.

In 2018, the League implemented the multiplatform concept in the transmission of its games in the 2018/2019 season.

In a historic action, the championship was broadcast on six different platforms: on open TV with Band; on cable TV with ESPN, Fox Sports and Bandsports; and streaming with Facebook and Twitter.
