eSports athletes can now warm up. Imagineleague 2024 is open for registration for teams interested in competing for a total of R$150,000 in prizes during the 2nd edition.
The event will take place on the 26th, 27th and 28th of July at the João Pessoa Convention Center (PB).
Imagineleague was born as the largest eSports tournament in the North-Northeast, with the approval of the Brazilian Confederation of Games and eSports (CBGE).
So, in addition to the R$150,000 in prizes, the winners also get their passport stamped for national competitions held by CBGE and even international ones, promoted by the Global eSports Federation, based in Singapore.
Organization of Imagineleague 2024
Thus, teams from all over Brazil can register in three categories: League of Legends (LoL), CS:GO 2 and Free Fire.
Eight teams from each category will be classified for the playoffs, which will take place, along with the finals, at the Gamer Pavilion at the Convention Center. All this in a structure with a presentation by streamer Diana Zambrozuski and live broadcast.
On Friday (26/7), the playoffs and the Free Fire final will take place. On Saturday (7/27), the teams will compete in CS:GO2 and on Sunday (7/28), it’s LoL’s turn. Furthermore, 1st place in each category will receive R$40,000 and 2nd place, R$10,000.
National and international attractions
Attraction announcements for the 2nd edition of Imagineland have been made since December 2023, and there is much more to come. This is because the Brazilian director nominated for two Oscar awards, Carlos Saldanha, will be honored at this year’s event.
So far, the international participation of Mexican actor and comedian Carlos Villagrán, Kiko from the series ‘Chaves’, has also been confirmed; American actor Michael Cudlitz, Abraham from ‘The Walking Dead’ and Lex Luthor from ‘Superman & Lois’; and cosplayers Maid ofMight and Cassandra Ariel.
Two giants of Brazilian dubbing will be in this year’s edition, and for the first time in Paraíba: Wendel Bezerra (SpongeBob, Goku from ‘Dragon Ball Z’) and Guilherme Briggs (Buzz Lightyear from ‘Toy Story’, Optimus Prime from the franchise ‘Transformers’).
Championships in Imagineleague
The “artists’ alley” focused on the world of comics will be expanded in this year’s edition, and will have capacity for 80 artists.
The participations of Carlos Ruas (‘Um Sábado Any’) and Germana Viana (‘As Empoderadas’, ‘LizzieBordello e as Piratas do Espaço’) are already confirmed, as well as artists selected by the curators, based on registration that closed on the 8th of March.
And in addition to Imagineleague, Imagineland will also have the K-Pop Contest 2024, with solo and group categories and a total of R$15 thousand in prizes, and the CosplayCup, with R$16 thousand up for grabs.

While the first edition of Imagineland, held in July 2023, had 25% of this public visiting from other states.
