Betsson signs sports betting sponsorship with Racing Club

Betsson has recently assumed the position of official sponsor of Racing Club – renowned Argentine club. The contract between the parties will be valid during the 2023/2024 season and will cover both the men’s and women’s teams, based in Avellaneda.

In Brazil, the betting company previously sponsored Athletico, but has now been replaced by Esportes da Sorte. Despite this, Betsson remains active in the domestic market, with former player Zé Roberto as its ambassador. In addition, in the field of football, the company maintains a partnership with AC Milan for the Latin American region.

At Racing, Betsson will have its brand displayed on the back of the shirts, above the numbers, starting with the next derby against Vélez Sarsfield, scheduled for tomorrow – Friday (19th) – in a game valid for the Argentine Championship.

The official announcement of the partnership took place during a press conference, which was attended by Víctor Blanco, president of Racing, and Maximiliano Bellio, national manager of the Betsson Group in Argentina.

Blanco commented on the partnership: “Once again, we highlight the relevance of Racing Club as a brand. It fills us with pride to be selected by a relevant company like Betsson, which chose us as a platform to further improve the promotion of company”.

“Racing Club ensures broad reach and visibility for some of the most influential brands in Latin America. Furthermore, being the first football club in Argentina to secure a Betsson sponsorship is of strategic importance to us,” added Blanco.

Betsson Group CEO, Jesper Svensson, added: “We are excited to start this journey with one of the most popular teams in the country. The club’s history, its loyal fan base and the enormous potential of its team made Racing Club the partner perfect for us to support”.

Betsson is aiming to expand its customer base in the Latin America region, where the company’s latest quarterly report revealed a steady increase in revenue of 23% year-on-year.
