Flamengo becomes the center of a possible dispute between Pixbet and Betano over its sponsorship, heating up the sports betting market.

The negotiations, which aim at possible modifications to the terms of the current contract, are mainly aimed at extending the agreement to the years 2024 and 2025, accompanied by the expected financial increase.

Currently, Pixbet pays around R$85 million annually, an amount that could rise to approximately R$100 million with the new contract.

According to O Globo, Betano emerges as one of the main interested parties in this clash. Recently separated from Fluminense, the company envisions a new partnership with Flamengo.

Although negotiations are still at an early stage, Betano‘s movement in the market is evident. The company recently signed a contract with CBF for the naming rights of the Brasileirão Series A.

Flamengo attentive to market movements

Meanwhile, Flamengo demonstrates contentment with its current partnership with Pixbet, although it is attentive to market movements.

The rise of Corinthians, which recently signed a R$120 million annual agreement with VaideBet, established a new paradigm in negotiations between clubs and betting companies.

This milestone directly impacted Fluminense, which broke its R$25 million annual contract with Betano. Now the tricolor club has signed a new partnership with Superbet, in a transaction that could reach up to R$55 million.

Vasco also observed this phenomenon and decided to end its sponsorship contract upon learning of Flamengo’s new agreement with Pixbet.

Soon, the Rio club will announce its new sponsor, also in the betting industry, in a move that reflects the competitive dynamics of the market. Currently, only Gigante da Colina and Cuiabá do not have partnerships with bets in Series A.
