The last Mega-Sena contest 2,619 took place last Wednesday, the 9th, in São Paulo.

No one got the six tens right, and the lottery prize for the next draw accumulated at 115 million reais.

The numbers drawn were as follows: 05 – 36 – 39 – 41 – 44 – 50.

But, other people guessed five and four tens and were awarded:

  • 5 hits – 83 winning bets: BRL 76,879.44
  • 4 hits – 6,849 winning bets: BRL 1,330.95

The next Mega-Sena draw will be held on Saturday, 12.

The probability of winning in each draw varies according to the number of dozens played and the type of bet placed.

For the simple bet, with only six tens, which costs R$ 5, the probability of winning the millionaire prize is 1 in 50,063,860, according to Caixa Econômica Federal.

As for a bet with 15 dozens (maximum limit), priced at BRL 22,522.50, the probability of hitting the prize is 1 in 10,003, according to Caixa.

How much does the accumulated prize yield?

But how much is R$ 115 million invested in savings worth?

The most popular investment among Brazilians, based on the Selic Rate plus the Referential Rate, can yield more than half a million monthly for those who want to place the Mega-Sena jackpot.

If the winner decides to put the R$ 115 million in savings, the monthly income will be approximately R$ 757,735.

How to bet on the Mega-Sena?
