PokerStars and Poker Power Announce Return of Women's Poker Bootcamp

After a successful first edition, and as part of its ongoing commitment to growing the game and ensuring that poker remains open and accessible for all, PokerStars has announced the return of the Women’s PokerStars x Poker Power Bootcamp.

Held from July 31 to September 28, 2023, the Bootcamp is aimed at those looking to take their first steps in the world of poker and learn strategies and skills to develop resilience, determination and patience.

Comprised of eight modules, each will focus on a different area of ​​poker, as well as demonstrating how key game skills can translate into real-world success.

In addition to Bootcamp being open to women from all over the world, participants will also be able to put what they’ve learned into practice while playing PokerStars Home Games.

The Bootcamp will lead to a tournament where a final table of competitors will win an all-expenses paid trip to EPT Cyprus in October to attend the PokerStars x Poker Power Women’s Bootcamp Showdown.

The announcement follows a new survey conducted in the UK by PokerStars, citing that more than half of women (55%) do not feel that poker is inclusive of them, despite 42% of women who play believe it improves focus and concentration. and 38% believing it could improve decision-making ability.

Bootcamp registration closes July 22nd

Registration for Bootcamp is now open and will run until the 22nd of July. Participants will be able to learn from expert Poker Power instructors using the Poker Power Play app and from PokerStars ambassadors such as Lali Tournier, Georgina James and Jennifer Shahade.

Other tools such as PokerStars Learn will be available 24/7 for participants to hone their skills in their own time, allowing them to learn hand rankings and familiarize themselves with the online poker format.
