Lottopar (Lotteries of the State of Paraná) took a big step last Wednesday (08). The company’s board of directors received representatives from the testing and certification laboratory, Quinel, to sign a term that authorizes the company to operate in Paraná.
Lottopar’s objective is to guarantee safe games
With this accreditation, Quinel and other laboratories that become accredited will be responsible for carrying out rigorous tests on:
- Electronic games
- Lottery systems
- Online platforms
- Any other game-related components
These tests ensure that games are safe, fair and free from cheating. Therefore, testing laboratories have a similar function to Inmetro. They will have to promote testing and guarantee the quality and safety of various equipment.
Any game, sports betting site or equipment will only be authorized to operate by Lottopar after presenting all the tests and certificates required by the authority.
This guarantees the security of the lottery market at all stages of the process. Furthermore, it provides a safe entertainment experience for bettors from Paraná.

This is the fifth certification laboratory
Therefore, for the representative of the Quinel laboratory, José Cid Campêlo Filho, the company’s arrival to operate in Paraná demonstrates Lottopar’s commitment to the security of the lottery market.
“This is an important milestone for Lottopar as Quinel is a certifier and our job is to provide security and ensure that the lottery equipment and systems that are being delivered to the public are duly certified, accredited and approved. This brings security to bettors.”
