The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has issued a four-year ban on French player Sherazad Reix after she was found guilty of six counts of match-fixing.

Reix, who was ranked 204 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) at her career peak, will not be able to play, train or participate in any events authorized or sanctioned by tennis’ governing bodies until January 29, 2027.

She was also fined $30,000 (£24,786 / €27,934) as part of the decision. Reix was found guilty of six violations of Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP) rules.

These included two breaches of D.1.b, where no Covered Person shall solicit or facilitate betting on the outcome or any other aspect of any tennis event or competition. Reix was also accused of having twice violated D.1.d, which relates to trickery or an attempt to influence the outcome.

ITIA further observed a breach of D.1.f, which covers soliciting or accepting money, benefits or consideration with the intent to negatively influence a player’s efforts. Furthermore, Reix once violated the D.2.a.i, which requires players to report any match-fixing approach to the relevant tennis authorities.

The case was related to ongoing police investigations in conjunction with the ITIA in Belgium, which revealed several tennis players implicated in match-fixing incidents.
