LeoVegas, a Swedish mobile gaming company and provider of online sports betting and casino services, has shown itself to be a company engaged in major political and social movements around the world.

The company has already created a series of initiatives and awareness campaigns, both with its employees and with the communities around them.

In May 2020, at the height of the pandemic in the world, a collective action from the company’s employees raised € 11,160 (about R $ 68 thousand at the current price) to the Solidarity Action Fund against COVID-19 in support of the World Health Organization. Health (WHO), the United Nations (UN) and the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation.

The COVID-19 Solidarity Action Fund directly supports the work of WHO and partners to collaborate with countries in preventing and responding to the new coronavirus pandemic, especially in more critical areas.

This time, the company whose brand is a lion, entered the fray of another action. The extinction of the “King of the Jungle”, as lions are known, due to his imposing, majestic size and fierce roar, as well as his royal mane, is one of the problems in the African savannas.

The loss of half of lions in Africa in the past 25 years requires that the best investments and collaborative actions be made for the recovery of lions and restoring their landscapes.

The LeoVegas Group donated a sum of 10,000 euros to the Lions Recovery Fund. Created by the Wildlife Conservation Network Leonardo DiCaprio foundation, the Lion Recovery Fund supports game-changing conservation actions.

The Lion Recovery Fund aims to double the number of lions in Africa, recovering the lions lost in the past 25 years. Thus, LeoVegas hopes to see prosperous savannah landscapes where the people of Africa, their economic development and their lions coexist.
