Enjoy reported that, between January and June of this year, its revenue reached US$ 153,059 million (US$ 171.7 million), which represents an increase of 534.63%, compared to US$ 24,118 million (US$ 27 .06 million) recorded as of June 30, 2021.
In a statement, the press reported that “a complete opening of the operations of casinos, hotels, restaurants and event centers, established by the health authority and the regulatory body, both in Chile and Uruguay in 2022 compared to the year 2021 where there were restrictions on capacity, opening hours and closed borders in Uruguay”.
As a result, the operator ended the period with a loss of US$ 26,065 million (US$ 29.2 million), a significant improvement over the US$ 47,429 million (US$ 53.2 million) of losses in the first half of last year. .
Furthermore, Enjoy indicated that this improvement is due “mainly to the greater generation of income, due to the total opening of operations in Chile and Uruguay, which allowed it to receive greater flows of customers, and especially in Punta del Este to be able to receive foreign customers, due to the end of the restrictive measures at the borders that existed in 2021, compensating for the loss generated by the economy of supply of the casinos of Viña del Mar, Coquimbo and Pucón, which started their operation under the new system of the Law of Casinos”.
