Lottopar’s CEO, Daniel Romanowski, was in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 19th to 22nd, to participate in the Cibelae Congress. The event was attended by the biggest lotteries in the world.
As a regular member of Cibelae, Lottopar was invited not only to be present at the congress, but on the occasion the director-president of the municipality participated as a speaker on the “Success Stories” panel.
Thus, he presented Paraná as a success story in regulating sports betting and also in hiring a unique tool in Brazil for managing lottery operations.
On the occasion, the path taken by the Paraná Lottery to put into practice the operation of fixed-odd bets, known as “bettings”, was detailed.

In the panel presented by the municipality’s CEO, the highlight was the management and payment platform contracted by Lottopar. The partnership took place with the consortium formed by the companies Skilrock Technologies and PayBrokers.
The main functionalities of the platform were discussed, as well as how it will control and monitor lottery operations. Above all, how it will bring more security to bettors and lottery operators.
Representatives of the consortium companies also participated in the panel with Lottopar, in order to report their experiences.
“This was an excellent opportunity to show the world how Paraná is a reference in several areas. And, as it has stood out in the lottery market with many pioneering actions”, highlighted Romanowski.

“I firmly believe that this also reinforces how we are strengthening the lottery system in the Latin American region. And, contributing to its growth and development”, he added.
Cibelae Congress
Under the theme “Responsible players make good bets”, the event featured the Cibelae Annual Assembly, where the members of the new Board of Directors were elected.
There were two days of seminars and lectures focused on the benefits associated with official and legalized gambling, with presentations from members of regulated markets, mainly considering the perspectives of the different technical committees: Responsible Gaming, Social Responsibility, Legal Affairs and Bettor Safety.
The meeting is one of the largest in the lottery sector in the world. At Congress, topics involving responsible gaming, social responsibility, prevention of money laundering and security were debated.
