This new game system will be used to power the Bavarian State Lottery’s 3,300 retail outlets and all digital sales.
Symphony now supports two German state lotteries and will also enable Lotto Bayern to provide multi-channel sales.
Lotto Bayern products include Eurojackpot, Lotto 6aus49, Spiel 77, Super 6, GlückSpirale, Die Sieger-Chance, Keno, Plus 5 and Toto, as well as pull tab tickets and instant scratch cards.
Lotto Bayern President Claus Niederalt said: “Scientific Games is a trusted long-term technology and service partner that not only meets our very demanding architectural goals with its new Symphony platform, but also offers a transformation path that facilitates our transition from the monolithic architecture to the new modular architecture.”
The Munich lottery provider generates more than €400 million ($424.7 million) in taxes for the Bavarian state budget. These funds allow additional support for areas such as sports, culture, monument preservation and other public areas that might otherwise be underfunded.
