Hard Rock raises over $1 million for breast cancer research

During the month of October, the Hard Rock Café, hotels, casinos and franchise stores engaged in fundraising, including limited edition menu items, specially designed merchandise, a songwriting contest and much more.

Hard Rock has long been a huge contributor to charitable causes, especially with their Pinktober campaign.

Last year, for example, the same campaign raised more than $700,000 to support breast cancer.

As part of Pinktober, the Hard Rock Café teamed up with French chef and breast cancer survivor Dominique Crenn, while the songwriting contest was in collaboration with David Correy. Correy lost his mother to cancer.

Jon Lucas, Hard Rock International COO, said, “Pinktober is one of the most anticipated and celebrated times of year in Hard Rock.”

“Each October,” he continues, “our company’s divisions and properties around the world truly embody our mottos of ‘Love All – Serve All’ and ‘Take Time To Be Kind’, coming together to support awareness and breast cancer research.”

“This year, we are excited to amplify our team’s deep passion through partnerships with chef Dominique Crenn and musician David Correy, who share our Pinktober mission and have been personally affected by breast cancer.”

Hard Rock was heavily featured in industry news this week after receiving regulatory approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission to acquire the operating assets of The Mirage Hotel & Casino.

The purchase was worth US$ 1.07 billion, with assets acquired from MGM Resorts International.
