ICE Barcelona promete ser o maior evento de cassinos do mundo

The European Casino Association (ECA), which represents the interests of 700 casinos with more than 60,000 employees in 29 countries, is preparing for what it predicts will be a record turnout of casino industry professionals at ICE Barcelona

The event will take place from January 20th to 22nd, 2025 and promises to be the biggest industry event ever.

ECA will organize ICE Barcelona

ECA Secretary General Hermann Pamminger has worked in the industry since joining Casinos Austria International in 1991. He confirmed the growing sense of anticipation surrounding the move to Barcelona.

“Whether it was held at the London Olympia, Earls Court London or, more recently, ExCeL London, ICE has served the industry superbly well. Thus, ECA members have contributed to the program’s success story, helping to achieve its status as the world’s leading business. An event for the global industry.”

“2025 will be the first time that ICE and its predecessor ATE have been held outside the UK since their launch nine decades ago. So the important decision to move to a new and much larger location, in an exciting and vibrant city in continental Europe, captured the imagination of the TCE and its members.”

He continued: “Accordingly, the ECA’s elected Board of Directors, which consists of senior and experienced representatives from the European land-based and licensed casino industry, is planning to address and promote issues related to casino operations.”

“The feedback we are receiving from ECA members based in 29 countries suggests that more casino industry executives than ever will be at ICE meeting with peers, participating in the world’s leading content program and being inspired by the innovations presented by the largest collection of exhibitors, curated from all sectors and industry verticals. This includes our UK members who are excited to explore this new location to engage with the wider European industry.”

First edition held outside the United Kingdom

Hermann Pamminger also spoke about moving to Spain. “I believe the move to Barcelona will accelerate the number of casino executives and buyers from across Europe. All successful brands need to evolve and the move will usher in a new era of opportunity for the European land-based casino industry.”

“ICE 2025 promises to be a landmark celebration and the enthusiasm among our members is immense. We also intend to maintain and possibly increase the number of our formal meetings and events that take place during ‘ICE’ week. There will be more council meetings and the general assembly. In other words, everything to meet this growing need”

ICE will hold its first edition outside the UK, breaking a record with 1,000 exhibitors. This includes world-leading innovators representing all sectors and from all jurisdictions.

ICE and affiliate iGB will occupy 120,000 square meters of Gran Via, Barcelona. Therefore, it will expand by 20,000 square meters, in addition to the 100,000 square meters used in London.

The Convention Center, located in Hall 8, is a modular and versatile space with capacity for 3,000 to 12,000 people.
