Bookmaker Betclic is the new official sponsor of Liga Portugal

Sports betting site and online casino Betclic has become the new official sponsor of Liga Portugal.

From now on, the Portuguese Championship will be known worldwide as Liga Portugal Betclic.

The sponsorship agreement is valid until 2027.

Pedro Proença, the president of Liga Portugal, commented on the new partnership. “It is a privilege for Liga Portugal to be associated with a leading brand in the market like Betclic”.

“This partnership unequivocally demonstrates the high level of professional football in Portugal”.

“Brands like Betclic share our vision and, above all, our ambition for the growth of professional Portuguese football, we are proud that our main league is called Liga Portugal Betclic this season”, he added.

This sponsorship will also include content and marketing possibilities, digital communications and intellectual property rights.

Previously, the competition was officially known as Liga Portugal Bwin, following a similar deal made in 2021.
