The bookmaker PixBet should be confirmed as the new master sponsor of Santos in the coming days. The company will replace SumUp, a fintech specializing in financial services, which last Tuesday announced its departure from the Peixe uniform. Fintech posted a video on social media to announce the end of the deal after a year.
According to the website Máquina do Esporte, PixBet closed with the São Paulo team at the end of 2021. However, the partnership was not revealed because Santos still had contracts in place with SumUp and Dafabet, another group in the betting market. .
Now, with the conclusion of the two agreements, the board of Peixe should announce the arrival of the new partner soon. PixBet has closed a series of sponsorship deals with national teams in recent months. Therefore, Santos will become the 16th club supported by the sports betting company.
The club from Baixada Santista will be the fifth team from the first division of the Brazilian Championship to stamp the bookmaker’s brand on its uniform. In addition to Peixe, América-MG, Avai, Flamengo and Goiás are sponsored by PixBet, which does not have the main agreement only in the case of the Rio de Janeiro team.
The bookmaker also has several commercial agreements with teams that will compete in the Series B of the Brasileirão: Cruzeiro, Guarani, Ituano, Ponte Preta and Vasco da Gama. PixBet, which has its headquarters located in the state of Paraíba, supports six local clubs: Auto Esporte, Botafogo, Campinense, São Paulo Crystal, Sousa and Treze.
And, recently, the company also signed contracts with traditional Sergipe soccer teams: Confiança, Lagarto and Sergipe.
