Sportradar Wins Main Bid for CONMEBOL's Rights as Official Global Betting Partner

After a highly competitive selection process, the Confederation of South American Football (CONMEBOL) has named Sportradar as the winning bidder for the exclusive audio and video (AV) rights and sports betting data, which will increase the accessibility and engagement of the South American football to a wider global audience.

CONMEBOL, the body representing ten National Football Associations in South America, attracts millions of fans globally each year and has experienced a remarkable rate of audience growth year on year as the sport continues to attract an international fan base in constant expansion.

Under the terms of the agreement, the rights cover the main regional club tournaments organized by CONMEBOL, including the prestigious CONMEBOL Libertadores (men’s and women’s), CONMEBOL Sul-Americana and CONMEBOL Recopa, for the next four seasons. This is the first time that domestic AV betting rights have been offered for CONMEBOL club competitions in the region.

Sportradar’s commitment to product innovation for its more than 900 customers worldwide and its superior development in advanced technologies such as computer vision and artificial intelligence, as well as its industry-leading integrity services were key considerations in the selection process .

Since 2019, Sportradar has provided CONMEBOL with Compliance, Risk and Governance Services through its Intelligence and Investigations (I&I) unit, which is a global team of due diligence specialists, intelligence specialists and investigators. Services provided to CONMEBOL include eligibility checks on high-level appointments to the confederation and its member associations.

The agreement between CONMEBOL and Sportradar starts with the current season and covers betting rights for CONMEBOL Libertadores U-20, CONMEBOL Libertadores Futsal (men’s and women’s) and CONMEBOL Libertadores Beach Soccer.
