A fanatical supporter of Coritiba, fighter Wanderlei Silva ended up getting excited when he saw his team beating Athletico-PR in a classic disputed by the Brazilian Serie A Championship, last Sunday, the 14th. Thus, he made “several bets with friends”.

Coxa, however, ended up taking the turnaround goal scored by Willian Bigode in the game’s stoppage time. The match ended with the score of 3 to 2 for Hurricane and the fighter failing in his bets. On Monday, the 15th, he turned to Coxa fans to help pay off his debts.

“Attention White Coxa nation, yesterday I made some bets, in the heat of emotion, we were winning 1-0… I made some bets with some Atleticanos and, considering that unfortunately we were defeated in that match, I ended up losing the bets” , says the fighter in a video published on his social networks.

′′ So I’m going to send my PIX here so that all of us, like White Thighs, united, can go through this situation together. So let’s make the deposit for Wand so that we can honor our commitments. So, Pix Solidário do Thigh!” concluded Wanderlei Silva.

The game

It should be clarified that the term Athletiba or Atletiba refers to the state classic between the two main football clubs in Paraná: Athletico-PR and Coritiba. The two teams faced each other in a match valid for the Brasileirão last Sunday.

In a difficult moment in the competition, Coxa was ahead of the scoreboard on two occasions, however, goals from Willian and Canobio in the final minutes of the classic ensured Athletico’s victory.

Currently, Hurricane is in 5th place on the leaderboard with 12 points won, while Coxa is in penultimate place with just two points.
