Betway signs exclusive betting deal with tennis tournament, Halle Open

The Betway operator has become a sponsor of the German grass tennis championship, the Noventi Open, also known as the Halle Open. Thus, the brand became the newest partner of the ATP500 event and also acquired exclusivity in betting for editions 2021, 2022 and 2023.

This year, the tournament runs from June 12th to 20th, following the clay tennis season and serving as a warm-up for many players at Wimbledon. Roger Federer was crowned champion of the championship ten times, winning his last title in 2019. The 2020 edition was not held due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In an official statement, Betway noted that the agreement “demonstrates Betway’s continued support for tennis in Germany.” Anthony Werkman, CEO of the bookmaker, said: “We are extremely proud to announce our sponsorship of the Noventi Open and to extend our partnership with German tennis.”

Werkman added: “As a global brand, we are committed to working with the most prestigious sporting events in the tennis world, which are named after the top names in the sport.”

Ralf Weber, Tournament Director and Managing Director of Noventi Open, said: “We are delighted to welcome Betway as a new sponsor of the Noventi Open. Betway’s support over the next few years will contribute to the continued development of the tournament and we look forward to a long and prosperous partnership.”

Betway has announced a series of sponsorships in recent months, with several deals involving tennis and other contracts relating to cricket, electronic sports and football.
