Woman becomes millionaire playing lottery with numbers her late husband always played

A woman named Lesley McNally was incredibly lucky to win the lottery twice by playing the numbers her late husband used to play. She is the mother of three children: Alan, 35 years old, Matthew, 32, and Steven, 29. The victories earned her a total of 170,000 pounds, which is equivalent to more than R$ 1 million.

Sadly, her husband Garry passed away at the age of 60, just five days after his birthday. He suffered a sudden heart attack and was unable to resist. Lesley and Garry were married for an impressive 37 years.

A few weeks before Garry’s passing, the couple decided to move to Swinton, a town located in Salford, England.

Garry, Lesley’s husband, was a frequent lottery player but had never been lucky enough to win a prize. After his passing, Lesley decided to continue betting the same numbers Garry used to play. To her surprise, in July of last year, she won approximately R$12,000 in a raffle. But luck did not stop there. In May, Lesley won an extraordinary prize of BRL 1 million.

Upon receiving the news that she had become a new millionaire, Lesley expressed a mixture of joy and sadness, as she reported to the Mirror website. She was one of nine lucky winners of a total prize pool of £1 million by the People’s Postcode Lottery. Interestingly, to Lesley’s surprise, the Mirror reported that two of the other winners lived on the same street as her. The coincidence certainly made the event even more remarkable.
