Bet365 has been authorized to offer sports betting in Arizona through one of the three remaining linked licenses available.

The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) announced that it has granted Bet365 an event betting license through a market access agreement with the Ak-Chin Indian community, a federally recognized tribe and one of 20 license holders in the state. .

This marks the seventh state in which Bet365 has received a US license. The operator already operates in Ohio, Virginia, New Jersey, Iowa and Colorado.

The bookmaker announced that it has started its pre-registration period in Kentucky with the aim of launching on September 28th. This was after receiving a temporary license to operate in the Bluegrass State the week before.

Bet365 will replace Fubo Sportsbook, which previously operated in the state under license from Ak-Chin. In October 2022, the streaming provider announced that it would end its sports betting.

The Rise of Bet365 in the US

The operator led by Denise Coates shows signs that it intends to assume a leadership position in the North American market.

In Ohio, the company reported that it received the third highest revenue in July 2023, surpassing BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook, the third and fourth highest earning sportsbooks by revenue in the US, respectively.

The remaining licenses remain unfilled

ADG was initially looking for three new operators to launch in the state after announcing it would accept new applications on June 30.

In addition to the remaining tribal license, this includes two licenses available through partnership with an Arizona sports team.

Another license may also open soon. This follows the closure of WynnBet, operated by Wynn Resorts, in eight states, including Arizona.

The operator received its license in 2021 through a partnership with the San Carlos Apache Tribal Gaming Enterprise.
