The former Junior football player is the new ambassador for BraXbet. The agreement between the former side and the online entertainment platform for sports betting was negotiated by the sports marketing agency Wolff Sports, the company that most closes sponsorships in Brazilian sports.
Born in Santo Antônio de Jesus, Bahia, Jenílson Ângelo de Souza, aka Júnior, was formed by Vitória (BA) in 1994. Two years later, he transferred to Palmeiras during the victorious ‘Parmalat era’, where he was champion of the World Cup of Brazil and the Copa Mercosul, in 1998, and of Libertadores, in 1999 – when he became an idol of the Alviverde fans.
In 2000, he signed with Parma, from Italy, where he remained until 2004. In the World Cup in Japan and South Korea, in 2002, he was called up by coach Felipão and won the fifth world championship.
In 2005, Junior arrived at São Paulo. With the Tricolor shirt, he won a Libertadores (2005), a Club World Cup (2005), and three Brasileirão (2006, 2007 and 2008). Finally, he spent a year at Atlético Mineiro and hung up his boots at Goiás, in 2010.
