The bookmaker EstrelaBet will no longer be the master sponsor of Athletico Paranaense. A few days after the confirmation of the new partnership on the national scene, the agreement was undone. On Tuesday, the 14th, Hurricane deleted the publications referring to the group on its social media, in addition to removing the brand from its website and from the panel that had been placed on the facade of the Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba (PR).

Athletico’s professional men’s team appeared with the EstrelaBet brand in the main space of the shirt last Sunday, 12, in a game valid for the Brazilian Championship. The match against Fortaleza, which ended in a goalless draw, took place away from home and should have marked the debut of the new sponsor.

“We’re not going to continue. Nothing happened, that’s all… We didn’t even consider it closed. We wanted to, we just showed the image, but it’s closed”, said Mauro Holzmann, Athletico’s commercial director of institutional relations and marketing, in an interview to the UmDois Esportes website, about the end of the sponsorship.

EstrelaBet issues a note of clarification on the end of the sponsorship

“Club Athletico Paranaense and EstrelaBet come to the public to clarify to all interested parties about the absence of a business consensus to maintain the master sponsorship contract.

The club and the company discussed the possibility of readjusting the value of the sponsorship, which ended up not being possible to implement. For this reason, they consensually opted for the termination of the brief partnership.

It is worth mentioning that EstrelaBet has no relationship with the company “Estrela Bet Felipe Domingos de Oliveira, CNPJ nº 46.014.138/0001-40”, as disclosed by profiles on social networks. In this regard, EstrelaBet will take the appropriate measures to ensure that your trade name is no longer misused.

In this context and due to strictly business differences, Athletico Paranaense and EstrelaBet thank you for the negotiation efforts and wish you mutual success.”

Sportsbook partnerships

Despite the suspension of the agreement with Hurricane, EstrelaBet currently sponsors several Brazilian sports teams such as Internacional, América do Rio de Janeiro, CRB, Resende FC, Villa Nova, Clube do Remo, Coimbra Sports and Magnus Futsal.
