Aimed at the Brazilian and international iGaming market, the Brazilian Lounge Podcast reaches its third episode with the presence of professional bettor Pedrão Bet.
The program featured presentations by Ricardo Magri (Director of the Brazilian Lounge), Alessandro Valente (co-founder of the Brazilian Lounge) and Witoldo Hendrich Junior (co-founder of Hendrich Advogados / Online IPS).

This time, the Brazilian Lounge Podcast delved into the world of sports betting with a guest who not only witnessed, but also shaped the evolution of the market: Pedrão Bet.
A professional bettor, he is considered a pioneer of sports betting in Brazil and was voted the second best bettor in the world in 2016.
With almost two decades of experience in the market, Pedrão Bet stands out not only for its incredible earnings, but also for its innovative vision.
He is the co-founder of Bet Expo, the biggest event in Latin America focused on the betting public. “For many years I have been going to all events around the world in the sector and the idea of a different concept of what Bet Expo would be came to us”, he explained.
“Around the world, you have events aimed at the industry, aimed at affiliates, and nowhere else in the world do you have events aimed at the gambler, the end consumer of this huge market. The consumer had never been represented”, added Pedrão.
“When we designed the content issue, we imagined exactly this: I want a fun panel and, later, more educational content, lecture-show. We tried to cater for everything, something fun, not too formal and not too technical, but also with relevant information”, pointed out the guest.
The beginning
In the episode, he shares his observations on the evolution of the market that has transformed itself from a discreet niche to a phenomenon admired throughout Brazil. Furthermore, Pedrão recalled his first contact with the world of betting.
“I was an MMA fighter. In 2003, I was invited to do a fight in a casino, in Uruguay. I was 18 years old and I looked at it all and decided that I wanted to be involved in some way with it. I won the fight and I was given chips to play in the casino. It was my first time in a casino environment.”
“I started studying poker after that, starting to play online. I think that April 2004 was when I started dedicating myself to sports betting”, added Pedrão Bet.
