SOFTSWISS aumenta a conscientização sobre a saúde dos homens com barbas

In November, SOFTSWISS, a global technology provider, enthusiastically joined the Movember Foundation‘s charitable campaign.

The campaign, which covers dozens of countries, encourages men to ditch razors and grow mustaches and beards throughout the month.

The goal is to raise awareness about oncology and other health issues that affect men.

The Movember campaign, which originated in 2003, has become a global movement. It was started by two activists from Australia who proposed growing mustaches and beards while making charitable donations to support men’s health projects.

In 2020, the fund gained support from more than 6.5 million people around the world, and the number increases every year. Movember’s global goal is to reduce premature male mortality by 25% by 2030.

Awareness

Throughout the month, the importance of men prioritizing their health echoed throughout the offices of this global software developer. The focus was particularly on the battle against prostate cancer, a male-predominant form of oncology.

SOFTSWISS male employees have actively engaged in the Movember movement, joining the mustache and beard growth challenge as well as the MOVEmber Step challenge.

As part of the initiative, all participants in the global campaign had the opportunity to ask questions to an expert in urology and andrology, thereby obtaining valuable recommendations on men’s healthcare.

The company’s management supported its employees’ commitment to this vital cause by organizing healthy breakfasts in all offices.

Additionally, sports souvenir boxes have been prepared for the winners of the step challenge, while those who diligently grow facial hair throughout the month will be recognized with a reward – a visit to a barbershop.

This isn’t SOFTSWISS’s first foray into global healthcare initiatives. In October, the company actively participated in the global movement against breast cancer, Pink October.

Notably, SOFTSWISS reimbursed the costs of breast ultrasound exams or mammograms for all of its employees, totaling more than 600 people.
