LeoVegas voted best online gaming operator of the year at IGA 2021

The LeoVegas Group received an important global industry award. The Swedish company in the online gambling sector was named the best online gaming operator of the year at the prestigious The International Gaming Awards 2021.

The award took place at the Hotel Savoy, in London, England. The International Gaming Awards (IGA) is a global award that recognizes and celebrates the best players in the highly competitive iGaming industry and is attended by gaming professionals from around the world.

LeoVegas CEO Gustaf Hagman celebrated the group’s achievement: “I am absolutely thrilled that LeoVegas has been recognized by our peers as a leader in online gaming.”

Hagman also stressed that this title comes to crown all the team’s efforts to offer a first-class experience to the public. “We are constantly striving to provide each of our customers with a uniquely exciting online experience in a secure environment, and being recognized in this way proves we are succeeding,” he said.

Over the course of the company’s nine-year trajectory, the brand has significantly expanded its online presence, both in terms of geography and content. In addition, LeoVegas plans to launch its proprietary technology platform in the North American market early next year.

The operator also acquired and relaunched the Expekt company, considered one of the most influential sports brands in the European market. The purchase was announced in the first half of approximately five million reais. LeoVegas’ objective was to diversify its sports betting offer, in addition to expanding its business.
