A total of 57 bets from 15 states plus the DF will share a record prize of R$ 159.1 million – the biggest prize in the history of Lotofácil da Independência, which was held last Saturday(11).

This is the 10th edition of this special contest, and the draw was the biggest prize in history. According to Caixa, the biggest bonus so far was 124.9 million reais in 2020. Last year we had 50 winning bets in 17 different states.
The collection of this contest also broke a record for the modality: 517.4 million reais. According to Caixa, this result is 39% higher than the 2020 special competition, which raised 373 million reais.
All bets that registered 15 hits are from DF (1) and from the following states: SP (18), PR (5), SC (5), BA (3), GO (3), MG (2), PA ( 2), RJ (2), CE (1), ES (1), MA (1), MS (1), MT (1), PE (1), SE (1).
The other prizes in the contest were:
- 14 hits: 10,288 winning bets, R$1,124.02
- 13 hits: 292,658 winning bets, R$ 25.00
- 12 hits: 3,577,748 winning bets, BRL 10.00
- 11 hits: 18,451,178 winning bets, BRL 5.00
At Lotofácil, the single bet costs R$ 2.50 and the player must choose between 15 and 20 numbers among the 25 available.
The draws are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and also on Saturdays, always at 8pm.
Other big prizes from the Caixa and Lotofácil Lotteries
The most famous special draw of the Caixa Lotteries is the Mega-Sena da Virada, which last year was 325.2 million reais. The jackpot was split into two winning bets, each receiving 162.6 million reais.
Like other special draws, Lotofácil da Independência prizes do not accumulate. In other words, when no one guesses 15 tens, the value is assigned to whoever gets 14 digits right, and so on.
