Bookmakers have established themselves as the main sponsors of Brazilian clubs today. For the 2025 Brasileirão Série A season, 95% of the teams have a bet as their master sponsor.

Of the clubs that will compete in the main divisions of the competition, 36 have contracts with companies in the sector stamping their brands on the uniform.

Growth of the betting market in the Brasileirão

The scenario was further strengthened by the recent negotiations between Grêmio and Internacional with Alfa, which will replace Banrisul as the main sponsor of the two clubs from Rio Grande do Sul.

Another significant change occurred with Palmeiras, which no longer had Crefisa as its master sponsor. The company, owned by the club’s president, Leila Pereira, was replaced by SportingBet, further reinforcing the presence of bookmakers in the elite of Brazilian football.

Exceptions: only two clubs without master betting sponsorship

With the confirmation of new sponsorship agreements, only Bragantino and Mirassol remain without a bet as master sponsor. However, both cases have particularities.

RB Bragantino, belonging to the Red Bull group, only maintains the energy drink company’s brand in the center of its uniform. However, Betfast, a bookmaker, sponsors the team, stamping its brand on the sleeves of the shirt.

At Mirassol, the main partnership is with the beverage company Poty, which displays Guaraná Poty on the front of the uniform. Despite this, the club also has 7K, which occupies a secondary space on the uniform, below the main sponsor.

Sponsorship division between clubs

Some bookmakers sponsor more than one club in the competition. Esportes da Sorte, which last year had four clubs in Série A, lost contracts due to legal problems, but continues to sponsor Ceará and Corinthians.

The São Paulo team even had investment from the company in the signing of Dutch midfielder Memphis Depay.

Superbet is a sponsor of Fluminense and São Paulo, having invested in the arrival of midfielder Oscar at Tricolor Paulista. Betfair is present in Cruzeiro and Vasco, while Alfa is expected to close with Grêmio and Internacional.

This season, some brands are making their debut in the elite of Brazilian football. Viva Sorte started sponsoring Bahia, replacing Esportes da Sorte. Fortaleza signed with Cassino, while Atlético Mineiro signed with H2 Bet.

With this, Brasileirão 2025 reflects the growing impact of bookmakers on Brazilian football. Only two clubs continue without a bet as a master sponsor, but even they have some type of commercial involvement with the sector.

In short, the tendency is for this presence to continue growing in the coming years, consolidating sports betting as an essential part of the economy of Brazilian clubs.
