Atlético Mineiro, currently sponsored by the bookmaker Betano, is not expected to renew its contract with the company. Remembering that the club, which has had one of the main sponsorships in Brazilian football since January 2021.

However, it is looking for better financial conditions and is already negotiating with other brands.

Galo’s objective is, at least, to equal the value of R$42 million annually paid by Betfair to Cruzeiro. Among the options considered are three other bookmakers: Parimatch, Superbet and Bet.bet.

Parimatch, for example, pays R$27.5 million per year to Botafogo. Superbet, which sponsors Fluminense and São Paulo, disburses R$42 million and R$52 million, respectively, for each of these clubs.

Bet.bet, in turn, does not yet have any Brazilian team in its portfolio, but is open to partnerships in the country.

Raphael Quirino, marketing director at Bet.bet, stated that the company is interested in establishing partnerships with major Brazilian clubs.

“We are open to talking to all the big clubs in Brazil. It would be great to have a club like Atlético, which has great players, a great fan base, a new stadium, Olympic sports and a women’s football team.”

Despite the possible departure, Betano, which replaced BMG as Atlético Mineiro’s master sponsor, will continue to support the club in competitions such as the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil.
