The 2024 Brazilian Championship Series B stands out for an unprecedented fact: all clubs are sponsored by betting sites.
The latest addition was Guarani, which announced its partnership with Dafabet, the club’s new master sponsor, with a contract valid until the end of Paulistão 2025. This alliance marks the consolidation of the football betting market, especially in Series B.
The presence of betting platforms is significant. According to the data, 95% of clubs print these companies’ logos on the front of their uniforms. Of these, 70% have betting platforms as master sponsors, occupying the most important space on the shirts.
Exceptions and particularities with sponsorship from betting companies
Some clubs stand out for their particularities. Brusque, Ituano, Mirassol, Novorizontino and Paysandu display betting company logos on the front of the shirt, but not as main sponsors.
Chapecoense, for example, has KTO as a partner, however, in a more discreet area of the uniform, in the collarbone region.
Guarani, who are currently bottom of Serie B with just one win in 15 games, hope that the new partnership with Dafabet will bring positive impacts to the club.
André Marconatto, president of Guarani, evaluated the agreement: “I am sure that this agreement will be very successful and will have a positive impact for Guarani.
We appreciate Dafabet’s trust and look forward to starting this new partnership that is fundamental to our trajectory in the 2024 season.”
Diversification of sponsors in Series B
Several betting companies invest in Series B, with some standing out more than others. Bet7k is the main sponsor, present in five clubs, although it is only the master sponsor of Operário-PR.
EstrelaBet sponsors four clubs as a master: América-MG, Botafogo-SP, CRB and Ponte Preta.
Other companies, such as BETesporte, are focused on specific clubs, such as Goiás and Vila Nova. Pixbet is a sponsor of Avaí, Betnacional of Paysandu, Blaze of Santos and Betvip of Sport.
This wide presence of betting sites reflects a growing trend in Brazilian football, where betting platforms have become fundamental to the financing and sustainability of clubs.
