The Paraná State Lotteries (Lottopar) signed a cooperation agreement with the Paraná Football Federation (FPF). The event took place at the FPF headquarters and was attended by Lottopar‘s main representatives, including the Operations director, Fabio Veiga; the technical director, Rafael Halila; and the Administrative-Financial Director, Rogerio Nogueira. The president of the FPF, Hélio Cury Filho, was also present.

The central objective of this technical cooperation is to implement actions that promote sporting integrity, ensuring a safe and responsible sports betting environment. It is important to highlight that this cooperation agreement does not involve financial contributions and is free of charge for both parties.

Lottopar initiative aimed at FPF

Lottopar took the initiative to carry out training, lectures and various activities aimed at entities affiliated to the FPF, the Arbitration Commission and the general public. Therefore, the focus is to train and provide guidance on codes of conduct, prevention of manipulation of results, in addition to the risks associated with illegal betting practices.

This agreement also aims to strengthen awareness of the consequences of non-compliance with sporting regulations, as well as contributing to the safe regulation of the sector. In this way, we seek to promote the protection of participants and the integrity of sports competitions.

Fabio Veiga highlighted the importance of this initiative to promote practices of sporting integrity and responsible gaming. “We have already had the opportunity to give a lecture to athletes from the Paraná Clube base and now we are going to extend these meetings to FPF professionals and associated clubs.”

“With this work, we seek to raise awareness about the consequences of non-compliance with sporting regulations and contribute to the safe regulation of the sector, promoting the protection of those involved and the integrity of competitions.”

Hélio Cury Filho also commented on the relevance of this project. “Result manipulation is a relevant issue that has always received the attention of the Paraná Football Federation, our role is to provide a fair and fraud-free game and Lottopar comes to join us in this education process. This partnership will contribute to making the show increasingly stain-free.”

New referees

The cooperation agreement also provides for training for future referees. These trainings will follow the model previously applied by Lottopar, in October, for the Paraná State Football Referee Commission.

Therefore, this training brought together students from the arbitration school who, in the future, will be able to participate in football sports competitions.
