Rapper Drake said he lost around half a million dollars when he placed a bet on Israel Adesanya’s victory to defend his middleweight title at UFC 293.
The fight took place on Saturday, the 9th, in Sydney, Australia. Adesanya was defeated by Sean Strickland. The challenger won by unanimous decision after dominating all five rounds.
The loss was estimated at 2.4 million reais. If the chosen fighter wins, Drake could earn up to 4.5 million reais.
Hours before the UFC main event, the singer posted a record of his bet on Instagram.
