Drake bets on Jon Jones' victory in the UFC and earns R $ 10 million

It is nothing new for those who follow the sports market that the singer Drake bets frequently. Now, he won a jackpot of US$1.7 million (about 10 million reais) in a bet of US$500,000 after Jon Jones submitted Ciryl Gane and won the UFC heavyweight title in Las Vegas.

Jones debuted in the heavyweight division against Gane in the main event of UFC 285, challenging for the title. The Canadian rapper put up $250,000 for a submission win and another $250,000 for a knockout.

Jones’ three-minute submission victory earned the singer $1.7 million, which would have earned $1.3 million if Jones had won by KO.

It’s not the rapper’s first guess into the fighting world. Drake regularly bets on combats in the most different styles and recently lost US$400,000 believing in Jake Paul’s victory against Tommy Fury.

Drake bets on various sporting events

When it comes to betting on high-stakes sporting events, few names have garnered as much attention as Drake has lately. He became a fixture in the betting market, making guesses worth hundreds of thousands of dollars on his favorite athletes.

Super Bowl

In football decisions, Drake showed better results. In Super Bowl 2022, the rapper managed to profit R$ 4.4 million in bitcoins with the victory of the Los Angeles Rams.

This year, he put $965,000 (R$ 5.1 million) in different tickets related to the confrontation between Chiefs and Eagles. Drake managed to hit the team that would be champion and took R$ 2.6 million.

National Championships

Drake made a composite bet of $833,000 (R$ 4.3 million) on Barcelona’s victory over Real Madrid and Arsenal’s victory over Leeds. Despite the Gunners doing their part, Barça lost the classic and caused damage to the singer.

Formula 1

In 2022, the rapper bet US$ 230,000 (R$ 1.1 million) on the victory of Charles Leclerc, from Ferrari, at the Spanish GP. But, the Italian driver withdrew from the race due to an engine problem. With that, Drake lost his money.

World Cup

Drake also bets on football and believed that Argentina would beat France in normal time, by 2 to 1. Despite having guessed who would lift the cup, Drake lost a million dollars (R$ 5.1 million).
