To find out more about this company and its projects for 2023, we spoke with Hans Schleier, Marketing Director at Casa de Apostas.
Hans talks about the projects for the coming year, says that the idea of influencers is something that is in the plans and, of course, he looks forward to the regulation of betting in Brazil.

iGaming Brazil – When was Casa de Apostas founded? How was your growth?
Hans Schleier – Casa de Apostas was founded in 2013, on the European continent, and arrived in Brazil in 2019. Casa de Apostas Group has branches all over the world and has already stamped its brand in major clubs in the country. In Brazil, we are proud to have been the first company in the segment to sponsor football clubs. That same year, the company pioneered the promotion of its brand on one of the largest television networks in the world – Rede Globo, giving a new meaning to the betting market in the country.
iGaming Brazil – How do you see the situation in Brazil in general in relation to Sports Betting sites (organization, structuring, technology, etc)? Do you think Brazil is expanding in this sense?
Hans Schleier – Since 2018, with Federal Law No. 13,756/2018, Brazil has experienced a boom in the segment, recording great growth year after year. Today, our country is consolidated as one of the largest markets in the world when it comes to sports betting, mainly because Brazilians are one of the people most passionate about sports and are always attentive to market news. This movement is incredible for the segment, as the market is increasingly investing in technology, providing more robust, safer and easier platforms for the customer to have fun.
iGaming Brazil – How was the World Cup for Casa de Apostas?
Hans Schleier – The World Cup was incredible. The World Cup in Qatar was the first with the sports betting segment already consolidated among the Brazilian public and, above all, with sports fans. The number of games, the hundreds of stars gathered and even the “zebras” made the competition very strong, which added value to the segment and stimulated even more the bets. The fan internalized that, beyond simply being a mere spectator of the competition, he could participate in the tournament, having fun and profiting.
iGaming Brazil – What kind of bets are the most sought after by gamblers? Do you try to sector the site according to preferences to retain customers?
Hans Schleier – Traditionally, football betting is the Brazilian’s flagship, especially in the 1×2 market, which is our most traditional market, where the bettor chooses which team will win or whether the match will end in a draw. Accompanying the passion of Brazilians for their clubs and for this sport, we have a very high volume of bets in the segment. However, we make the most diverse modalities available to our customers, always trying to embrace all audiences on our website. In terms of customer loyalty, we always look for exclusive promotions according to the sports calendar, keeping an eye out for the NBA playoffs, Formula 1 grand prix, MMA events and everything that surrounds the world of sports.
iGaming Brazil – Casa de Apostas invests in sports programs on TV Bandeirantes. Do you have more projects for next year?
Hans Schleier – For 2023 we seek to further expand our reach with diversified actions. We intend to expand the spaces we occupy, and consequently increase our share. We understand that the platform has all the necessary requirements so that anyone can bet and have fun, not limited to sports fans. In this way, we will be closer and closer to Brazilians, whether with activation actions on the streets, television, sponsorships and, above all, providing great experiences for our customers.
iGaming Brazil – Are you thinking of hiring an influencer to expand the brand?
Hans Schleier – This is a strategy that is always part of our plans. We have customers all over Brazil, from all social classes, of different ages. The use of influencers increases the capillarity of our communication, adapting to everyone’s language. This is a very interesting movement, as we managed to publicize Casa de Apostas respecting the incredible diversity of the Brazilian people.
iGaming Brazil – Will you change your strategy if betting is regulated in Brazil?
Hans Schleier – No. Our strategies are already considering regulation. Our behavior is based on that. The regulation of sports betting in Brazil is interesting for the segment, as it will strengthen our industry, bring more rights to customers and generate jobs and taxes for the country.
iGaming Brazil – What is your opinion about betting regulation in Brazil? Will it happens in 2023?
Hans Schleier – We have good expectations that the regulation will take place in the near future. We frequently observe changes in the Legislature and we believe that the theme will soon have a positive result. It is an important issue that interests all parties. I hope that soon we can celebrate the regulation of sports betting in Brazil.
