Betfred Sports and WE-KO-PA Casino Team to Launch Sports Betting in Arizona

Betfred Sports this week closed an agreement with WE-KO-PA Casino Resort to launch a sports betting platform in the state of Arizona, United States. The two gaming companies will work to build a sportsbook like the one in Las Vegas at Fort McDowell.

The partnership will mark Betfred Sport’s entry into the Arizona mobile sports betting market, with an online betting service to launch and exploit the company’s brand. The deal was promoted by SCCG Management, a consultancy specializing in sports betting, igaming, technology and sports marketing.

“Arizona is an incredible opportunity for Betfred Sports to continue its expansion in the United States following successful launches in Iowa, Colorado and Pennsylvania,” said Mark Stebbings, director of operations for the Betfred Group.

Stebbings added: “We look forward to working with our fantastic partner, the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, to leverage our 50 years of betting experience and bring the best betting options to Arizona sports fans.”

WE-KO-PA Casino Resort is owned and operated by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and has a large area dedicated to gaming, dining and entertainment facilities. This includes 246 rooms as well as an upscale meeting space.

“The announcement of the partnership with Betfred Sports marks a new chapter for We-Ko-Pa,” said Bernadine Burnette, president of Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.

Burnette continued: “We are excited about the prospect of sports betting in Arizona and excited to pursue an event betting license that allows us to offer sports betting to our digital and retail customers.”
