BetMGM has signed a partnership with the PGA Tour to become the official betting operator for the main professional organizer of golf tournaments.
Accordingly, the agreement will give the operator, the joint venture between MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings, the right to use the PGA Tour trademarks in the USA. In addition, the deal grants permission to advertise on Tour’s media and partner platforms.
BetMGM will also have access to video content and rights, allowing its sports betting platforms to create pre- and post-game betting schedules, as well as offering promotions to users who place bets.
After all, the operator maintains sponsor relationships with several members of the PGA Tour, the main organizer of men’s golf tournaments. The list of names includes Jimmy Walker, Keven Na, Pat Perez and Boo Weekly.
BetMGM’s marketing director, Matt Prevost, said: “We look forward to working with the PGA Tour to integrate and deliver great experiences for BetMGM customers.”
Prevost commented that: “BetMGM’s advanced betting technology, combined with world-class competitions and iconic players on the PGA Tour, will not only put the Tour at the forefront of professional sports, but also across the betting industry.”
Therefore, BetMGM, owned by Roar Digital – a partnership between MGM and GVC – is currently licensed to accept sports betting in seven U.S. states, planning to reach 11 by the end of 2020.
