GGPoker launches 'Road to WSOP Europe 2022'

GGPoker has released details of the ‘Road to WSOP Europe’, a series of satellite poker tournaments starting this Monday the 10th.

Between October 10th and November 11th, several online poker tournaments will take place, offering players the opportunity to qualify for this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe Main Event.

To enter a direct satellite tournament, players will have to pay at least €250, while to join another style of championship, they will have to pay less €25. Meanwhile, throughout the competition, various buy-in events higher will occur.

For €1,050, players can compete in one of several tournaments, each with €10,350 guaranteed. In addition, winning one of them will guarantee players entry into the Main Event. This is scheduled to start on Friday, November 11th at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, a municipality in the Czech Republic.

The main tournament has a guarantee of €5 million. Last year’s champion was Czech Josef Gulas, who defeated Frenchman Johan Guilbert.

“The WSOP Europe is the most prestigious live event on the continent, and we are excited to give players the chance to secure their seat in the €5 million guaranteed Main Event via Road to WSOP Europe,” said John Scanlon, Events Director at Live and Sponsorships of GGPoker.

“We hope that a great squad from GGPoker will arrive at the King’s Resort for this and fight for the gold and glory,” added Scanlon.

GGPoker and WSOP Launch Online Poker Room in Ontario

This announcement comes just after GGPoker and the WSOP launched an online poker room in Ontario, Canada. The WSOP.ca launched earlier this month and is now available to players in the Canadian province.
