Betsson Group launches online betting service in Buenos Aires

Betsson Group has strengthened its presence in Latin America by launching an online betting product in the Province and City of Buenos Aires.

In collaboration with Casino de Victoria, a local operator and subsidiary of the Mautone Group, Betsson received regulatory permission to launch an online betting service in the region, which is still relatively new to digital forms of betting.

The trend is that the collaboration between the two operators can take advantage of the recent online market in Buenos Aires, combining Betsson’s digital expertise with the local experience of Casino de Victoria.

Pontus Lindwall, CEO of Betsson, commented: “The launch in Argentina marks another milestone in Latin America and further strengthens Betsson’s market presence in the region. The license for the Province of Buenos Aires, together with the license for the City of Buenos Aires, consolidates our position in the region.”

The two platforms, one focused on the city and the other on the province, offer a range of sports betting options, both pre-match and live; as well as a variety of online slots, table games and horse racing titles. Both offers are now live.

Betsson expands presence in the Brazilian market with sports agreements

Prior to the company’s online expansion in Argentina, the group signed two agreements to build its presence in neighboring Brazil, with an additional partnership in Chile also agreed since early 2022.

Betsson will sponsor two upcoming regional football tournaments in Brazil, the Gauchão 2022 and the Campeonato Pernambucano. In Chile, the operator signed a sponsorship agreement with Colo Colo, the country’s most successful football club.
