Soft2Bet, provider of casinos and sports betting platforms, has successfully received a license issued by the Danish Gaming Authority, Spillemyndigheden, to launch its broad suite of iGaming products in Denmark.
The license provides for sports betting in addition to online casino games such as slot machines, roulette, baccarat, blackjack, poker and online bingo. The company’s entry into the Danish market is the latest strategic step for the operator group, currently extending its global presence in key regulated markets.
The achievement significantly expands Soft2Bet’s position in the Nordic countries, having obtained a license to operate in Sweden in 2019 from the Swedish Gaming Authority, Spelinspektionen. The company has adhered to all of the country’s stringent gaming safety requirements, confirming that it is fully compliant with its numerous regulatory specifications.
Peter Christian Noer, head of Soft2Bet’s national team, said: “Winning this license is a monumental thing for Soft2Bet. Our entire team has worked hard and tirelessly to ensure that we meet all requirements and deadlines to reach this important milestone in our company’s history.”
Noer continued, “We now look forward to launching our innovative iGaming brands in the Danish market which have proven successful in other jurisdictions because of their state-of-the-art features, unique gaming delivery and strong player protection tools. We launched in Sweden less than two years ago and have gained significant shares since then. We are convinced that we can do the same in the Danish market”.
According to the company executive, “this great achievement is the result of dedication and another significant step for our excellent team to be proud of. It is also important to thank the Danish Gaming Authority for positive, collaborative and helpful dialogue throughout the license application process.”
In addition, the group has developed and deployed over 30 successful websites with over 5,000 casino games, seamlessly integrated into their high-performance platforms. It is one of the fastest growing players in the online casino segment in Europe, with 69 providers and 100,000 active customers.
