Scientific Games acquired Authentic Gaming, marking the company’s first foray into the live casino market.
The provider has long had ambitions to become the company in the field of global cross-platform gaming, with this purchase bringing Scientific Games one step closer to achieving that goal.
Live casinos represent a significant segment of the iGaming market – approximately 30% – and Authentic has gained a reputation as one of Europe’s leading providers of live casino content.
That said, the vendor still somewhat lags behind the Evolution market leader in this area.

“The collective power of Authentic, our proven table game titles and our OpenGaming platform allow us to capitalize on a growing opportunity in the US market with our unique omnichannel approach,” added Cottle.
The Malta-based company currently does business with over 30 operators, including big names such as Entain, 888, Betway, LeoVegas and Mr. Green. Thus, Scientific wants to capitalize on Authentic’s expertise to strengthen its own in-house development capabilities.
Great Scientific Games Projects for Authentic
But SG’s projects for Authentic span the entire Atlantic as it seeks to increase the company’s US footprint, a plan that includes creating new US-based studios.
