Sportradar, the world’s leading provider of sports data intelligence and sports entertainment solutions, today announced a comprehensive and expanded agreement with the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB).
The new agreement covers data collection and distribution, AV rights, media rights distribution, betting monitoring to ensure integrity, automated production and streaming service, and continuation of the OTT platform.
The multi-year agreement starts at the start of the 2021/22 season and will see Sportradar become the official LNB data partner. Sportradar will collect and distribute LNB in-game data through Synergy Stats, its best-in-class court data collection system.
Synergy Sports, now a division of Sportradar, has partnered with all LNB teams through the use of its AI-guided Automated Camera System and also serves as a distribution partner for the league’s AV rights.
The system provides basketball teams, leagues and federations with a complete end-to-end technology platform that provides automated video and graphics production.
Since the 2020/21 season, Sportradar has been distributing LNB’s media rights internationally and has used all of its technological capabilities to create the OTT LNB.TV platform, which features gameplay and editorial content to increase fan engagement.
Coverage is broadcast live and is available on-demand. Finally, the agreement also includes the provision of the advanced and proven Sportradar betting monitoring system, the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS), to monitor all LNB games for potential game handling.
Last year, Sportradar Integrity Services detected over 500 suspicious matches across global sport and reported over 5,500 in the past 15 years.
