Caixa Econômica Federal will hold the 2,703 Mega-Sena competition this Thursday (21), with an estimated prize of R$75 million. The draw is scheduled for 8pm and will be broadcast live on Caixa’s social networks.

How to bet on the Mega-Sena?

To compete for the millionaire prize, bettors can register their games until 7pm on the day of the draw. While bets can be placed at any lottery outlet accredited by Caixa, via the bank’s website or app (Android or iOS).

A single ticket, with six numbers marked, costs R$5.

However, for games made on the Caixa website, the minimum to bet on Mega-Sena is R$30, valid for one or more bets.

So, if the player wishes to place a bet with seven numbers, the price increases to R$31.50. Another option is to place seven simple bets, which together have the same value of R$31.50.

Caixa pool

In addition to individual games, another way to bet on Mega-Sena is through the jackpot. Thus, in this modality, a group meets to choose the numbers together.

Therefore, the system generates a quota receipt for each participant, allowing individual redemption of prizes.

Mega-Sena jackpots have a minimum value of R$10, with each share must be at least R$5.

But players have the option of participating in a pool with a minimum of two and a maximum of 100 shares, or purchasing shares in pools organized by lotteries.

Awards and accumulation

The Mega-Sena prize pool is divided as follows:

  • 35% for those who match the 6 numbers drawn (Sena);
  • 19% for those who got 5 numbers right (Quina);
  • 19% for those who guess 4 numbers correctly (Quadra);
  • 22% accumulated for those who match the 6 numbers in the final 0 or 5 contests;
  • 5% accumulated for the first bracket (Sena) of the last contest of the year ending 0 or 5, known as Mega da Virada.

If no one matches the necessary numbers in any prize category, the value accumulates for the next contest in the same category. But be aware that the prizes expire 90 days after the draw date.

Then, if the person does not redeem the prize, it will be passed on to the National Treasury for application in the Higher Education Student Financing Fund (Fies).
