Brazilian will compete in the Just Dance world title at the Olympic Esports Series 2023

Brazil will have a two-time world champion as a representative in one of the disputes at the Olympic Esports Series 2023, in Singapore. The organization of the olympic competition that combines virtual simulators of traditional sports and/or that involve physical activity released the list of eight participants in the dance tournament.

The Brazilian is Diego (Diegho San), who will fight for the title in the Just Dance category, one of the modalities to be disputed between June 22nd and 25th.

The list of Just Dance competitors is as follows:

  • Amandine “TheFairyDina” (France)
  • Diego “Diegho San” (Brazil)
  • Aleksanteri “TheAllu” (Finland)
  • Antonino “JustNino” (Italy)
  • Joseph “Aazzlano” (United States)
  • Adithiyan “Arms73” (India)
  • Elsie Fang (China)
  • Siti Zhywee Ramle (Singapura)

The requirement for the selection of participants in the modality was the joining of finalists from previous editions of the World Cup of the dance game and local tournaments, in addition to representatives of the host country of the Olympic Esports Series 2023 finals, Singapore.

Diegho San won the world dance game in 2014 and 2015 and will compete for the first title in the tournament promoted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Without the most common eSports disputes, such as First-Person Shooter (FPS) games, the International Olympic Committee’s bet is on competitions that include categories that are more similar to the modalities of the traditional Olympics.

Tournaments will be Archery (Tic Tac Bow), Baseball (WBSC eBASEBALL: POWER PROS), Chess (Chess.com), Cycling (Zwift), Dance (Just Dance), Auto Racing (Gran Turismo), Sailing (Virtual Regatta ), Taekwondo (Virtual Taekwondo) and Tennis (Tennis Clash).
