IBIA and APAJO will cooperate on the integrity of bets

The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and the Associação Portuguesa de Apostas e Jogos Online (APAJO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding that aims to work together to defend betting and sporting integrity, as well as a safe and sustainable online environment for sports betting.

The two associations, which represent some of the most relevant operators in the European space, will discuss areas of cooperation and potential projects within their common objectives.

In these joint projects, the two associations will pool their expertise in activities aimed at promoting a viable regulated betting market in Portugal, with high consumer channeling and related consumer, sport and operator integrity protection measures.

“APAJO is strongly committed to building and maintaining the most beneficial environment for Portuguese consumers and operators, and sporting integrity is definitely a very important part of this overarching objective,” said Ricardo Domingues, President of the Executive Committee of APAJO.

“It is with great satisfaction that we celebrate this agreement with IBIA, whose vast work and knowledge in this area will certainly be of great value. We hope to be able to make our contribution at an international level to the progress of this industry as a whole”, added Domingues.
