The eSports organization, MIBR has teamed up with its official sponsor, 1xBet, to launch the first edition of the 1XChallenge, an open Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, CS:GO tournament. The initiative confirms the commitment to encourage female participation in the competitive e-sports segment.
The tournament will have 16 teams with a cash prize: BRL 12,000 for the champion team and BRL 6,000 for the runner-up, in addition to skins and MIBR products. The 1xChallenge will take place between the 5th and 9th of April and will be broadcast on the Gamers Club twitch.
“We are aware of the disparity that exists between female and male scenarios within the gaming universe. Therefore, actions that encourage the participation and development of female players are essential. We hope that our initiative with MIBR for the 1xChallenge will serve as an incentive for the competitive landscape as a whole to create more spaces for women.”, said Alex Sommers, from 1xBet.
In addition to the prize money, the winning team will have the opportunity to face the MIBR women’s CS:GO team in a showmatch.
