Current world champions formalize new partnership between Kalshi and AFA

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has made a major commercial agreement official for the 2026 World Cup.

The highest football entity in the neighboring country confirmed the partnership between Kalshi and AFA, uniting the current three-time world champion team with the United States prediction market platform.

This exclusive sponsorship will be valid throughout the tournament, taking advantage, above all, of the strategic moment in which the sport’s main competition returns to American soil after more than three decades, attracting the attention of millions of fans who now have a regulated environment to test their guesses legally.

Why the partnership between Kalshi and AFA invests heavily in data security

In order to guarantee total transparency in fans’ financial transactions, the contract directly involves Genius Sports, the official data and streaming partner of the Argentine confederation.

In this way, the technology company will be responsible for providing verified sports statistics to the American platform, serving as a reliable data source for the creation and settlement of prediction contracts.

This collaboration dramatically reduces reliance on lagging or unofficial sources and includes active sharing of integrity information, giving professional leagues a much clearer view into how the market works.

The signed agreement also allows the creation of joint campaigns on social media and authorizes the use of important intellectual properties, allowing, for example, the traditional shield and the blue and white colors of the South American team to feature the operator’s marketing actions.

Adam Barrick, Head of Sports Partnerships at Kalshi, celebrated the joining of forces.

“Argentina is the standard of excellence in world football. It is exactly alongside them that Kalshi belongs.

We are building the future of how people engage with live events, and partnering with the current champions of the most beautiful sport is the clearest signal we can give about where we want to go,” he said.

Expansion of the South American brand in the competitive American market

This strong commercial movement reinforces the internationalization strategy of the sports entity, which seeks to ally itself with leaders who dominate their respective corporate segments.

The American operator practically built a new class of financial assets in the country from scratch and today holds more than 90% of the share of this competitive market in the United States.

Assessing this promising scenario, Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer of the Argentine Football Association, Leandro Petersen, highlighted the importance of this alliance for business.

“Kalshi is a leader in its category, and their decision to partner with AFA is a testament to the global strength our brand has built since 2017.

Each new alliance of this caliber reinforces that the path we have set for AFA’s international expansion is the correct one, and that the main organizations in the world want to be part of this”, he explained.
