FURIA expands operations to Europe and will have a Training Center in Malta

One of the main Brazilian organizations in the current scenario of electronic sports, FURIA released a novelty this week. The team is expanding its operations to Europe and will have a Training Center (CT) in Malta.

The information was confirmed by the organization’s CEO, Jaime Padua, during an ESL event in the country. FURIA’s new structure will be located in Mellieha, in the northern region of Malta. The Training Center will have a thousand square meters and will support the CS:GO and R1 teams. The investment for the first semester of operation is around 130 thousand euros.

According to FURIA, the “decision was taken after FURIA found greater efficiency in having a structure in the region instead of relying on temporary solutions”.

In addition, the CEO of the eSports entity made a point of thanking the Maltese government for helping with the investment in the Brazilian organization. Padua also spoke of the commitment and environment that the local government provided.

“I would like to express our gratitude to the Government of Malta for their assistance in facilitating our investment in this beautiful country. Their commitment to creating a friendly environment and ensuring our organization has everything it needs to succeed led us to the easy decision to establish a facility in Malta.”
