FIFAe Club World Cup is the eSports competition with the most fans in Brazil, according to a survey

Recently Ibope Repucom released more data from its survey Sponsorlink, which talks a little more about the habits of sports fans, and focused on the eSports universe. According to the data and answers collected by the survey, the FIFAe Club World Cup is the title with the most fans among Brazilians who enjoy sports competitions and electronic games.

The traditional FIFA game tournament – in partnership with EA Sports – will start today, Thursday (14), in Denmark.

According to the survey, about 59% of Brazilians over 18 years old are fans of the FIFAe Club World Cup, with the majority of this audience being male (66%), aged between 30 and 39 (64%) and living in the Northeast region ( 64%).

The survey, carried out in June of this year, had a representation of 110.5 million internet users in the country aged 18 or over.

As already reported, the 2023 edition of the game will be the last FIFA partnered with EA. Starting next year, the producer announced that the new title of the game will be EA Sports FC, while the international football entity intends to launch a set of games on its own platform.

The name change from FIFA to EA Sports FC

In May of this year, it was announced that ‘FIFA’, Electronic Arts’ (EA) football game franchise, will be renamed ‘EA Sports FC’ from 2023. The change will take place due to the end of the long partnership of almost 30 years. years between FIFA itself and the game developer.

‘EA Sports FC’ will take over from ‘FIFA’ starting next year, with EA promising more details and information about the series’ future in eSports and casual gaming this July.

The developer has confirmed that it will still release its last ‘Fifa’ in 2022, marking the year as the last of a franchise consecrated among gamers on consoles and PC.
