This Thursday (30), Coritiba faces Andraus Brasil in the 6th round of the Paranaense Championship. The game, which takes place at the Couto Pereira Stadium, at 8pm (Brasília time), will be the stage for an important initiative by Reals Bet, Coritiba’s master sponsor.
After the case of racism involving athlete Léo Pelé, from rival Athletico, the betting company will give up its space on Coxa’s shirt to highlight the cause.
The brand will make the noble region of its uniform available for the phrase “RACISTS ARE NOT WELCOME IN COUTO” to be printed, with the aim of raising awareness among fans and the general public.
“Once again, Reals reinforces its commitment to combating racism and discrimination. It’s time to bring about changes in our surroundings and put an end to this type of situation”, highlighted Rafael Borges, Country Manager at Reals.
Gabriel Lima, CEO of Coritiba, also spoke: “Coritiba is committed to being an increasingly attentive and active club in the fight against racism”.
“The message on the shirt today is important, but it will be even more relevant for Coritiba to use its strength so that the anti-racist message reaches a greater number of people.”
“Football and any other environment must be a space of passion, unity and respect – and at Couto Pereira, because there is no place for racism or any other type of discrimination”, he added.
Reals Bet has already made space on Coritiba’s uniform in support of Women’s Day
With a renewed contract with Coritiba for another season, this is the second time that Reals Bet has given up its place on the club’s shirt to give visibility to social causes.
Therefore, the first was an action in favor of International Women’s Day, in March 2024, when the company’s name gave space to the phrase “Respect the Gurias”, in the quarter-finals of the Paraná Championship.
