Sportradar, the global sports technology company, announced that its ‘Integrity Services’ unit has signed a multi-year agreement with the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), the world’s governing body for skiing and snowboarding.

“Sportradar Integrity Services will provide comprehensive risk analysis for FIS competitions, offering key insights into the global betting landscape for ski and snowboard events,” the company said in a statement.

Also according to the statement: “It is estimated that more than 40 million euros are bet on major FIS events each season. The competitions with the greatest interest in the world market are: FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, Cross-Country FIS and the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup”.

Furthermore, the company further states that through the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS), “an advanced and proven betting control system that has been independently evaluated and verified by recognized industry experts, Sportradar Integrity Services will monitor relevant events from bets on all FIS sports”.

“A global team of qualified integrity experts analyze betting patterns and report any anomalies, allowing critical visibility into potential hit threats. Sportradar Integrity Services has detected over 7,700 suspicious matches over the past 17 years, of which over 1,000 happened only in 2022,” they said.

Commenting on this, Sarah Fussek, Director of Sports Integrity at FIS, said: “The information provided to us by Sportradar Integrity Services about the global betting landscape in our sports and the associated risk factors will put us in the best possible position to combat any threat related to integrity”.

“It is essential to us that robust provisions are in place to ensure the security of our competitions, and this agreement allows us to do so in the strongest possible way as we gain a detailed understanding of the integrity risks our sports face,” added Fussek .
